OUR STRENGTHS

History

We are the most historic tooling company in Northeastern Italy, with 80 years of tradition in tool manufacturing.

Our history began in the 1940s as the company “Cortiana Giovanni” in San Vito di Leguzzano, producing carbide and brazed tools for lathes and milling machines.

In 1980, the business was continued by Cortiana Francesca and Bressan Eugenio under the name ICUM, expanding the product range to include carbide tooling, special steels, and carbide machining (widia).

Building on the essential values and knowledge passed down through generations, I.C.U.M. continues producing tools for machine tools, constantly updating and evolving production to meet market needs.

Alongside tooling production, we have expanded into industrial blades and knives made of special steels for shredders, mills, grinders, and granulators.

These products are used in sectors such as plastics, rubber, wood, metal recycling, electronic waste, municipal solid waste, as well as components for packaging, woodworking, textile, food, and other machinery.

Research & Development

ICUM continuously researches solutions and materials to improve product and process quality, also through collaboration with universities, developing solutions that significantly reduce wear and extend the lifespan of spare parts.
